Who Is Suigyutchi?

A water buffalo — broad-shouldered, dark-coated, and built for terrain that other animals find difficult. SuigyÅ« (水牛) is Japanese for water buffalo, and the -tchi suffix gives it the full character name treatment. The design communicates mass and patience: something that moves on its own schedule and doesn’t particularly care about yours.

The moderate-neglect result for the Forest Field’s Forest Toddle Species. A water buffalo in the moderate-neglect bracket fits the animal’s real-world temperament: it’s not the result of perfect attention (that’s Lessapantchi, the red panda) or near-perfect care (Kanokotchi, the deer) — it’s the result of 2–5 lapses, and it came out exactly as substantial as something that grew up figuring things out for itself.

How to Get Suigyutchi

Step 1 — Be on the Jade Forest shell
The Forest Field is only available on the Jade Forest shell among the 2025 Paradise launch lineup.

Step 2 — Feed Bamboo Grass during the Kid stage
Target food type: Bamboo Grass
Specific foods: Bamboo Grass, Sesame Leaves — from the shop. Bamboo Leaf Rice Cake, Sesame Pancake — cooked.

Feed until you have at least one Bamboo Grass icon showing in your Tama Cell, then switch to Pellets.

Step 3 — Hit the right care level
Requirement: 2 to 5 total care mistakes across the Kid and Young stages combined.

How to accumulate care mistakes intentionally:
Let hunger or happiness hit zero, wait for the attention call, then wait an additional 15 minutes before responding. Repeat until you have 2–5 spiral icons in Cell View. Stop at 5 — one more pushes into Panbootchi territory.

Track your count: Zoom into Cell View. Each spiral icon = one care mistake.

Fun Facts

The water buffalo is one of the most important domesticated animals in East and Southeast Asian agriculture — it plows rice paddies, carries loads, and has been central to rural livelihoods across the region for millennia. As a Forest Field character, Suigyutchi represents the large, working forest animal: dependable, powerful, and at home in wet forest terrain. Its name is straightforwardly accurate (suigyū = water buffalo), which gives it a grounded quality that fits the moderate-neglect bracket — far no mythological layers, no playful misdirection, just the animal itself.

Food Preferences

Forest Field characters’ food preferences aren’t yet documented by the community. Suigyutchi’s water buffalo design suggests a preference for plant-based foods, but this is thematic inference; verify in-game.

Personality & Raising Tips

Drain rates aren’t yet documented for Suigyutchi in the English community. Once stats are confirmed, this section will update with specific maintenance guidance.

What is expected: moderate-neglect Forest Toddle characters tend to have drain rates between the near-perfect and heavy-neglect extremes. Suigyutchi’s water buffalo design suggests a character that doesn’t need constant engagement — patient, low-anxiety, and built for long hauls.

For intentional Suigyutchi runs: Bamboo Grass food during Kid until the icon appears, then 2–5 deliberate mistakes during Young. Wide bracket (4-mistake window), standard controlled-neglect methodology. Watch the Cell View spiral count and stop before 6. The 30% sick chance gives Forest characters a bit more margin than other fields during the neglect accumulation process.

Personality in lore: Unhurried, substantial, and quietly reliable. Suigyutchi doesn’t need to prove anything — it already knows what it is and what it can do. Fans describe it as the Forest Field equivalent of a workhorse: not glamorous, not demanding attention, just genuinely useful to be around. The moderate-neglect bracket suits it: it grew up without constant supervision and came out completely fine.

Who Should Raise Suigyutchi?

Suigyutchi suits players who miss occasional care calls — the 2–5 mistake bracket is one of the most accessible in the Forest Field, with a generous 4-mistake window. Exact drain rates are not yet confirmed, so maintenance guidance will update when the community documents them. The water buffalo’s design suggests a character that doesn’t demand frantic attention, though moderate-neglect adults tend to run faster than their perfect-care siblings. You must own the Jade Forest shell to access the Forest Toddle path. The 30% sick chance is the standard Forest Field advantage and applies here — illness is less likely per mistake than on other fields’ 35%.

How Suigyutchi Compares

Suigyutchi’s exact drain rates are not yet documented. Among Forest Toddle siblings, Lessapantchi (60/80) and Kanokotchi (50/70) give a known reference range for the species, and Panbootchi is also undocumented. Within the Forest Field’s moderate-neglect tier, Tigaotchi (90/30) and Nappatchi (70/80) bracket the documented moderate characters — Suigyutchi likely falls somewhere in the 40–70m range per meter based on the species pattern. The 30% sick chance is the Forest Field’s structural advantage over other shells’ 35%, which is particularly useful during the mistake-accumulation phase for moderate-neglect targets.
