Who Is Papillotchi?
A butterfly with wings in full display â large, symmetrical, and rendered with the kind of color detail that makes it one of the most visually ambitious designs in the Sky Field. The wings are the whole point. Papillotchi moves through the world as if it’s always mid-flight and never quite lands.
The perfect-care result for the Sky Field’s Bumble Species, the honey-food path. Papillotchi is the reward for raising a honey-fed Tamagotchi with complete attentiveness â zero mistakes, maxed meters, full commitment. It’s a character that reflects back the care you put in.
Stats
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Hunger drops every | 60 min |
| Happiness drops every | 80 min |
| Sick chance after care mistake | 35% |
How to Get Papillotchi
Step 1 â Get into the Sky Field
Start on the Purple Sky shell, which begins in the Sky Field. On the Blue Water and Pink Land shells, the Sky Field unlocks at Level 4. The Sky Field is not available on the Jade Forest shell.
Step 2 â Feed the right food during the Kid stage
Target food type: Honey
Specific foods: Flower Syrup, Honey Syrup â from the shop. Flower Drops â cooked.
Feed until you have at least one Honey icon showing in your Tama Cell. Once it appears, switch to cheap Pellets. The icon stays unless you switch fields.
Step 3 â Hit the right care level
Requirement: Zero care mistakes AND hunger maxed 5+ times AND happiness maxed 5+ times during the Young stage.
What perfect care actually requires:
1. Zero total care mistakes across the Kid and Young stages combined
2. Hunger meter maxed at least 5 times during the Young stage
3. Happiness meter maxed at least 5 times during the Young stage
Zero mistakes without the meter maxes gives Kabutotchi (0â1 bracket) instead.
How to max the meters efficiently:
â Play the UFO mini-game for +10 happiness per win â the fastest method
â Feed proactively (before hunger drops) to accumulate rice ball icons
â Check Cell View regularly â you need 5 rice ball and 5 sun icons before evolution
Full Bumble Species Evolution Line
All four Bumble adults come from Honey Young, raised in the Sky Field on a diet of Honey foods during the Kid stage.
| Character | How to Get |
|---|---|
| Papillotchi â you are here | Perfect care â 0 mistakes + Hunger maxed 5Ã+ + Happy maxed 5Ã+ |
| Kabutotchi | Near-perfect â 0â1 total mistakes |
| Tentotchi | Moderate neglect â 2â5 total mistakes |
| Hatchitchi | Heavy neglect â 6+ total mistakes |
Key reminder: Care mistakes are cumulative from the Kid stage onward. Two mistakes as a Kid plus one as a Young equals three total.
Fun Facts
Papillon is the French word for butterfly, and Papillotchi’s name follows this directly â one of the few Tamagotchi Paradise characters with a French-derived name rather than Japanese or English. The butterfly has been a recurring Tamagotchi design since the original era, and Papillotchi represents the most elaborate version of it in Paradise. The 60/80-minute stat split gives it one of the most comfortable maintenance profiles among the Sky Field perfect-care characters.
Food Preferences
| Category | Details |
|---|---|
| Favorite type | Flower/sweet items â Flower Drops, Honey Syrup, Flower Syrup, Honey Cake, Sweet Roll |
| Disliked foods | Meat items â Big Meat, Steak, Grilled Meat trigger rejection |
| Note | A butterfly that prefers flower-derived sweet foods is exactly what you’d expect. The honey-food evolution path maps directly to adult preferences. Thematic inference; verify in-game. |
Personality & Raising Tips
Papillotchi’s 60/80-minute drain split is one of the most comfortable among Sky Field perfect-care adults. The 80-minute happiness drain is especially generous â you can go well over an hour between mini-games without it dipping into discontent. Feed every 60 minutes during active periods and play when convenient rather than on a tight schedule.
The Bumble Species’ honey-food path requires Flower Syrup, Honey Syrup, or Flower Drops during Kid. These are available from the shop and as cooked items. Stock them before starting.
For intentional Papillotchi runs: Honey food during Kid until the icon appears, then full perfect care through Young. UFO mini-game for happiness maxes, proactive feeding for hunger maxes, zero ignored care calls. Check Cell View regularly for the 5/5 threshold. The 60-minute hunger timer during Young gives you more margin than the 40-minute timers of some other perfect-care paths.
Personality in lore: Light, unhurried, and beautiful in a way that doesn’t seem to require effort. Papillotchi moves through situations the way a butterfly moves through a garden â not particularly goal-directed, but consistently arriving somewhere interesting. It’s the character most likely to make something look effortless that was actually the result of significant care.
Who Should Raise Papillotchi?
Papillotchi is for dedicated players who want a perfect-care reward on the Honey food path. Once unlocked, it’s actually one of the more relaxed perfect-care characters to maintain: the 80-minute happiness drain is generous enough that games are rarely urgent, and the 60-minute hunger drain is manageable. Players who can commit to zero mistakes and five meter maxes during Young will find Papillotchi a very pleasant adult to live with afterward.
How Papillotchi Compares
Papillotchi’s 60-minute hunger drain is average for the Sky Field. Its 80-minute happiness drain is above average â better than most field adults and the second-highest in the Bumble Species (behind undocumented Tentotchi and Hatchitchi). Among perfect-care Sky Field adults, Papillotchi’s 60/80 is more relaxed than Peacotchi (50/60) and Horhotchi (70/60 â though Horhotchi is faster on happiness), and approaches Gemtchi’s legendary 60/90. Within the Bumble Species, Papillotchi has the highest happiness drain among documented characters, and its hunger is mid-range compared to Kabutotchi (50/70).
Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between Papillotchi and Kabutotchi in daily maintenance?
Papillotchi: 60/80 (requires perfect care including meter maxing). Kabutotchi: 50/70 (requires 0â1 mistakes, no maxing). Kabutotchi has a slightly faster drain on both stats but doesn’t require the meter maxing grind. Papillotchi is the higher-effort unlock with the more relaxed happiness timer.
Can Papillotchi appear on other shells?
Yes â Blue Water and Pink Land (with Sky Field unlocked at Level 4) can produce Papillotchi given perfect care and Honey Young.
Can Papillotchi breed?
Yes. All adults in Tamagotchi Paradise can breed with any compatible adult of the opposite gender. After breeding, the egg hatches into Babymarutchi and the evolution cycle starts fresh â the baby’s adult form depends on your field, food, and care choices, not on which parents bred.
About This Character’s Field
The Sky Field is the starting field on the Purple Sky shell and unlocks at Level 4 on Blue Water and Pink Land. Not available on Jade Forest. Sky Field characters have Chicken, Corn, and Honey evolution paths, plus the Rocky Species for default pellet players.
