Who Is Batchi?

A bat with folded wings, upside-down posture implied in the design, and the slightly smug expression of something that has decided that daylight is overrated and schedules are a social construct. Scrappy, nocturnal-coded, and very much on its own timeline.

The heavy-neglect result for the Sky Field’s Flap Species. Batchi didn’t get consistent care and adapted accordingly — sleeping when it wants, active when it chooses, answering to no particular routine. Players who accidentally raise it on their first Purple Sky run often end up oddly charmed by it.

Stats

Stat Value
Hunger drops every 40 min
Happiness drops every 50 min
Sick chance after care mistake 35%

Batchi has the fastest hunger drain in the Flap Species at 40 minutes — the irony of the neglect-raised character requiring the most frequent feeding is very much in keeping with its bat energy.

How to Get Batchi

Step 1 — Get into the Sky Field
Start on the Purple Sky shell, which begins in the Sky Field. On the Blue Water and Pink Land shells, the Sky Field unlocks at Level 4. The Sky Field is not available on the Jade Forest shell.

Step 2 — Feed the right food during the Kid stage
Target food type: Chicken
Specific foods: Whole Chicken, Piece of Chicken — from the shop. Chicken Steak — cooked.

⚠️ Device bug on original 3-color shells: The device screen swaps “Flap Young” and “Chirp Young” labels. The paths work correctly regardless.

Feed until you have at least one Chicken icon in your Tama Cell, then switch to Pellets.

Step 3 — Hit the right care level
Requirement: 6 or more total care mistakes across the Kid and Young stages combined.

Let hunger or happiness hit zero, wait 15 minutes after the attention call before responding, and repeat until you have 6+ spiral icons in Cell View. Once you hit 6, Batchi is locked in regardless of anything else.

Full Flap Species Evolution Line

All four Flap adults come from Chicken Young, raised in the Sky Field on a diet of Chicken foods during the Kid stage.

Character How to Get
Horhotchi Perfect care — 0 mistakes + Hunger maxed 5×+ + Happy maxed 5×+
Mongatchi Near-perfect — 0–1 total mistakes
Eagletchi Moderate neglect — 2–5 total mistakes
Batchi ← you are here Heavy neglect — 6+ total mistakes

Fun Facts

Named directly from the English word “bat” — it’s one of the more straightforwardly named characters in Tamagotchi Paradise. Batchi follows the heavy-neglect stat pattern of fast hunger drain / moderate happiness drain, which fits the bat’s reputation as a creature that needs to eat constantly to maintain its metabolism. The 40-minute hunger timer during adult stage is the fastest in the Flap line.

Food Preferences

Category Details
Favorite type Bug/worm items — Meal Bugs, Meal Worms, Bug Cookies
Disliked foods Daylight foods — sweet, fruity items trigger rejection; Batchi prefers the nighttime menu
Note Insectivorous bat logic: bugs over everything. Thematic inference; verify in-game.

Personality & Raising Tips

Batchi’s 40/50-minute drain split makes it the most maintenance-intensive adult in the Flap Species — somewhat ironically, given it’s the result of maximum neglect. Plan to feed every 40 minutes and play every 50 during active hours.

For a heavy-neglect character, the care routine is tighter than the better-raised results. This isn’t unusual in Tamagotchi design — it’s the game’s way of making neglect characters feel distinctly different to live with rather than simply “easier.”

For intentional Batchi runs: Six mistakes during Kid and/or Young, then raise normally. Watch for sickness at risky mistake counts —!once you’re past 6 spiral icons, focus on keeping it alive through the remainder of Young without worry about which adult you’ll get.

Personality in lore: Nocturnal, self-directed, and faintly sarcastic about everything that operates on a conventional schedule. Batchi is the character most likely to be doing something interesting at 3am and completely unavailable at noon. It has fans who appreciate exactly this energy.

Who Should Raise Batchi?

Batchi is for experimental players and deliberate neglecters who want to see the Flap Species’ maximum-neglect result. Fair warning: the 40-minute hunger drain means Batchi actually demands more frequent feeding than most well-raised Flap adults — ironic for the least-cared-for character. Players who check their device every 40 minutes anyway will find it perfectly manageable; players who prefer longer check-in intervals should aim for Mongatchi or Horhotchi instead.

How Batchi Compares

At 40 minutes, Batchi has the fastest hunger drain in the Flap Species and is one of the faster hunger drains in the whole Sky Field — only Kuchipatchi (30m) is faster. Its 50-minute happiness drain is average for the field. Within the Flap Species, Batchi’s stats are a significant step down from Mongatchi (80/50) and Horhotchi (70/60), and its hunger is faster than Eagletchi’s (undocumented, but likely higher). The neglect result that demands the most attention is a recurring pattern in Tamagotchi Paradise, and Batchi fits that mold exactly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Batchi breed normally?
YY. Heavy neglect adults breed like any other adult in Tamagotchi Paradise.

Can Batchi appear on shells other than Purple Sky?
Yes — any shell with the Sky Field (Blue Water and Pink Land, Level 4 unlock) can produce Batchi given 6+ care mistakes and Chicken Young.

Why does the most-neglected bird have the fastest hunger drain?
Standard Tamagotchi heavy-neglect design — at least one demanding stat as a distinguishing characteristic. Batchi’s fast hunger is the high-maintenance edge that makes it feel different from Horhotchi and Mongatchi despite all three being bird characters.

Can Batchi breed?
Yes. All adults in Tamagotchi Paradise can breed with any compatible adult of the opposite gender. After breeding, the egg hatches into Babymarutchi and the evolution cycle starts fresh — the baby’s adult form depends on your field, food, and care choices, not on which parents bred.
