A round, doughy creature with stubby limbs, small bright eyes, and an expression of cheerful obliviousness. The design suggests something that spends most of its time underground and has emerged into the light with absolutely no complaints about it.

The moderate-neglect result for the Toddle Species — the character you get when you’re caring for your Tamagotchi but not quite keeping pace with it. Molmotchi doesn’t hold it against you. It’s the kind of creature that adapts to whatever situation it finds itself in and decides it’s probably fine.

Molmotchi has the fastest hunger drain in the Toddle Species line at 40 minutes. Check in more frequently than you might expect from a neglect-bracket character.

How to Get Molmotchi

Step 1 — Get into the Land Field
Start on the Pink Land shell, which begins in the Land Field. On the Blue Water shell the Land Field unlocks at Level 6; on the Purple Sky shell at Level 4.

Step 2 — Feed the right food during the Kid stage
Target food type: Carrot
Specific foods: Apples, Carrots — from Egg Hunt (Land volcano). Apple Pie, Shredded Carrots — cooked.

Feed until you have at least one Carrot icon showing in your Tama Cell. You only need one dominant icon — once it appears, you can switch to cheap Pellets and save resources. The icon stays unless you switch fields (which clears all food icons).

Step 3 — Hit the right care level
Requirement: 2 to 5 total care mistakes across the Kid and Young stages combined.

How to accumulate care mistakes intentionally:
A care mistake occurs when hunger or happiness hits zero and you wait 15 full minutes after the attention call before responding. To reliably land in the 2–5 range:
— Let the hunger or happiness meter hit zero
— Wait for the attention beep
— Wait an additional 15 minutes before refilling
— That’s one mistake

Repeat until you have 2–5 spiral icons in Cell View. Stop after 5 — the next mistake would push you into the 6+ heavy neglect bracket and guarantee Sheeptchi instead.

Track your count: Zoom into Cell View using the dial. Each spiral icon = one care mistake. Check it after each intentional mistake to make sure you haven’t overshot.

Full Toddle Species Evolution Line

All four Toddle adults come from Carrot Young, raised in the Land Field on a diet of Carrot foods during the Kid stage. The only variable between these four characters is your total care mistake count.

Key reminder: Care mistakes are cumulative from the Kid stage onward. Two mistakes as a Kid plus one as a Young equals three total.

The 2–5 bracket is wide enough that most casual players land here without trying. Once you have it, the 40-minute hunger drain makes Molmotchi one of the more demanding Toddle adults to feed long-term — attentive players who check in frequently will have a much easier time than players who forget for hours at a stretch. It’s a good character for players who are moderately engaged rather than either extremely attentive or deliberately neglectful.

How Molmotchi Compares

Molmotchi has the fastest hunger drain in the Toddle Species at 40 minutes — faster than Mimitchi (50m) and significantly faster than Mametchi (60m). Its 50-minute happiness drain is the second-fastest in the species, behind Mametchi’s more forgiving 80m. Within the Land Field overall, Molmotchi’s 40/50 split makes it one of the more demanding adults to maintain despite its moderate-neglect origin — similar in hunger to Ratchi (40m) and Furawatchi (40m). Players who got Gumax accidentally in the Roar Species will notice Molmotchi demands more consistent attention, as it lacks Gumax’s extremely forgiving 90-minute hunger timer.

Yes. All adults in Tamagotchi Paradise can breed with any compatible adult of the opposite gender. After breeding, the egg hatches into Babymarutchi and the evolution cycle starts fresh — the baby’s adult form depends on your field, food, and care choices, not on which parents bred.
