Who Is Magmatchi?
A volcano â active, glowing, visibly under pressure, and radiating the particular intensity of geological material that has been heated until it moves. Maguma (ãã°ã) is the Japanese rendering of “magma,” and Magmatchi’s design likely features volcanic motifs: glowing cracks, lava tones, volcanic cone silhouette.
The heavy-neglect result for the Sky Field’s Rocky Species. The default-pellet path represents rock in its geological forms â Gemtchi as refined gem, Oretatchi as raw ore, Ishikorotchi as worn stone, Magmatchi as rock pushed to its absolute breaking point and melted back into something dangerous. The Rocky Species’ heavy-neglect character is the field’s most visually intense character.
Stats
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Hunger drops every | 50 min |
| Happiness drops every | 90 min |
| Sick chance after care mistake | 35% |
The 50/90-minute split is unusual: Magmatchi needs feeding every 50 minutes but its happiness stays full for a full hour and a half. Feed it regularly and almost never play with it. A high-demand food timer with a near-zero entertainment requirement.
How to Get Magmatchi
Step 1 â Get into the Sky Field
Start on the Purple Sky shell, which begins in the Sky Field. On the Blue Water and Pink Land shells, the Sky Field unlocks at Level 4. The Sky Field is not available on the Jade Forest shell.
Step 2 â Feed default pellets during the Kid stage
The Rocky Species path requires no dominant food type â feed default Pellets or a deliberately mixed diet so that no single food icon dominates in your Tama Cell.
The simplest approach: only feed default Pellets throughout the Kid stage. Your Tamagotchi will evolve into Rocky Young without any food-type icon appearing.
If you’ve accidentally built up one food type (Chicken, Corn, or Honey), switching to Pellets will dilute it over time. Switching fields clears all food icons instantly.
Step 3 â Hit the right care level
Requirement: 6 or more total care mistakes across the Kid and Young stages combined.
Let hunger or happiness hit zero, wait 15 minutes after the attention call, refill, and repeat until you have 6+ spiral icons in Cell View. Once you hit 6, Magmatchi is locked in regardless of anything else that happens.
Full Rocky Species Evolution Line
All four Rocky adults come from Rocky Young, raised in the Sky Field on a default or mixed diet during the Kid stage (no dominant food type).
| Character | How to Get |
|---|---|
| Gemtchi | Perfect care â 0 mistakes + Hunger maxed 5Ã+ + Happy maxed 5Ã+ |
| Oretatchi | Near-perfect â 0â1 total mistakes |
| Ishikorotchi | Moderate neglect â 2â5 total mistakes |
| Magmatchi â you are here | Heavy neglect â 6+ total mistakes |
Fun Facts
Magmatchi completes one of the most thematically coherent evolution lines in the game: the Rocky Species moves from gem (refined perfection) â ore (raw material) â rolling stone (worn smooth) â magma (broken down entirely under neglect-generated pressure). It’s a miniature geological cycle told through care levels. The 50/90 stat split is also one of the more distinctive in the game: feedings every 50 minutes with happiness at 90 is the opposite of most character profiles, which tend to have closer hunger/happiness ratios.
Food Preferences
| Category | Details |
|---|---|
| Favorite type | Hot/spicy items â Grilled Meat, Steak, Big Meat, spicy or fire-adjacent foods |
| Disliked foods | Cool/sweet items â Mochi, Sweet Roll, Honey Cake trigger rejection |
| Note | A magma character preferring hot, intense foods over cool sweets is thematically inevitable. Thematic inference; verify in-game. |
Personality & Raising Tips
Magmatchi’s 50/90-minute split makes its daily maintenance routine unusual: it’s almost entirely a feeding exercise. The 90-minute happiness drain means you rarely need to play games â roughly once every hour and a half. But the 50-minute hunger timer fires more often than most characters in the field, so proactive feeding is essential.
For practical daily care: feed every 50 minutes (or roughly once an hour to build in margin), play once every 90 minutes when happiness dips, and check for illness at the risky mistake thresholds during the Young stage.
For intentional Magmatchi runs: Pellets only during Kid (no food icon needed), then 6+ deliberate mistakes during Young. Standard heavy-neglect methodology: ignore care calls for 15 minutes repeatedly until the spiral count hits 6. Track in Cell View. Watch for illness at counts 1, 5, and 7 (35% sick chance each time).
Personality in lore: Volatile, intense, and operating on its own internal heat. Magmatchi doesn’t need attention or entertainment â it has its own energy source. Fans describe it as the character most likely to be fine whether or not you’re watching, and most likely to do something unpredictable when you’re not. Visually the most dramatic character in the Rocky Species; behaviorally one of the less demanding.
Who Should Raise Magmatchi?
Magmatchi is for experimental players and deliberate neglecters who want the Rocky Species’ heavy-neglect result. Its 90-minute happiness drain means you almost never need to play games â but the 50-minute hunger drain requires consistent feeding, which is the same pattern as Kuchipatchi. Players who can build in regular feeding checks but don’t want the hassle of frequent mini-games will find Magmatchi’s split unusual but surprisingly workable.
How Magmatchi Compares
Magmatchi’s 90-minute happiness drain is the slowest in the Sky Field, tied with Gemtchi and Kuchipatchi â you almost never need to play with it. Its 50-minute hunger drain is faster than average, requiring more frequent feeding than most Sky Field adults. Within the Rocky Species, Magmatchi’s hunger is faster than Gemtchi (60m), Oretatchi (50m â tied), and dramatically faster than Ishikorotchi (90m). The reversed priority structure (feed often, play rarely) makes Magmatchi feel uniquely different from most Sky Field adults, where happiness typically drives the daily loop more than hunger.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the 6+ neglect character have a good happiness stat?
Magmatchi’s 90-minute happiness drain may reflect its lore: a character that generates its own internal energy doesn’t need external stimulation to feel satisfied. It’s not looking for entertainment from you. The hunger timer staying fast (50 minutes) keeps the maintenance loop active â Magmatchi still needs to be fed, it just doesn’t need to play.
Can Magmatchi appear on other shells?
Yes â Blue Water and Pink Land (with Sky Field unlocked at Level 4) can produce Magmatchi given 6+ care mistakes and Rocky Young (default pellet diet during Kid).
Can Magmatchi breed?
Yes. All adults in Tamagotchi Paradise can breed with any compatible adult of the opposite gender. After breeding, the egg hatches into Babymarutchi and the evolution cycle starts fresh â the baby’s adult form depends on your field, food, and care choices, not on which parents bred.
About This Character’s Field
The Sky Field is the starting field on the Purple Sky shell and unlocks at Level 4 on Blue Water and Pink Land. Not available on Jade Forest. Sky Field characters have Chicken, Corn, and Honey evolution paths, plus the Rocky Species for default pellet players.
