Who Is Meowtchi?

A sleek cat character with pointed ears, a curling tail, and the composed expression of someone who has never been surprised by anything in her life. One of the most visually polished characters in the Land Field — the kind of character that looks like it belongs on a shelf rather than running around a Tama Field.

The franchiseʼs quintessential “cool girl” Tamagotchi. Charming on her own terms, deeply selective about who she spends time with, and somehow always the most put-together character in any situation. Gets along with almost everyone, but on her own schedule.

How to Get MeowtChi

Step 1 — Get into the Land Field
Start on the Pink Land shell, which begins in the Land Field. On the Blue Water shell the Land Field unlocks at Level 6; on the Purple Sky shell at Level 4.

Step 2 — Feed the right food during the Kid stage
Target food type: Meat
Specific foods: Big Meat, Small Meat, Steak — from the shop or Egg Hunt (Land volcano).

Feed until you have at least one Meat icon showing in your Tama Cell. You only need one dominant icon — once it appears, you can switch to cheap Pellets and save resources. The icon stays unless you switch fields (which clears all food icons).

Step 3 — Hit the right care level
Requirement: Zero care mistakes AND hunger maxed 5+ times AND happiness maxed 5+ times during the Young stage.

What perfect care actually requires:
Perfect care is NOT just zero mistakes. You need all three of the following:
1. Zero total care mistakes across the Kid and Young stages combined
2. Hunger meter maxed at least 5 times during the Young stage (rice ball icons in Cell View)
3. Happiness meter maxed at least 5 times during the Young stage (sun icons in Cell View)

If you hit zero mistakes but don’t max the meters 5 times each, you’ll get the 0–1 mistakes adult (Pochitchi) instead.

How to max the meters efficiently:
— Play the UFO mini-game for +10 happiness per win (+5 on a loss) — the fastest method
— Feed snacks to top up happiness between games
— Keep hunger full by feeding before it drops — each full meal counts toward the 5× rice ball requirement
— Check Cell View to count your rice ball and sun icons and make sure you hit 5 of each before evolution

Full Roar Species Evolution Line

All four Roar adults come from Meat Young, raised in the Land Field on a diet of Meat foods during the Kid stage. The only variable between these four characters is your total care mistake count.

Key reminder: Care mistakes are cumulative from the Kid stage onward. Two mistakes as a Kid plus one as a Young equals three total — putting you in the 2–5 range.

Checking your count: Zoom into Cell View with the dial. Each spiral icon = one care mistake. Count rice ball icons for hunger maxes and sun icons for happiness maxes.

One of the few Land Field characters who appears regularly in Tamagotchi anime and media alongside Mametchi. Has a fan reputation as one of the hardest characters to intentionally raise on a first playthrough — the perfect-care requirement trips up even dedicated players. Her 70-minute hunger timer is solid but not as forgiving as some neglect adults. She needs checking in roughly three times a day, which fits a moderate attention schedule. The 60-minute happiness timer is a little tighter — if you’re going for long stretches without playing, her happiness will dip.

For intentional Meowtchi runs: The UFO mini-game is your best friend. Play it consistently during the Young stage to stack happiness maxes, and feed proactively rather than reactively to rack up hunger maxes. Her 70-minute hunger and 60-minute happiness timers are manageable for anyone on a moderate check-in schedule — roughly three feeding sessions and a few mini-games per day. If you want the prestige of the perfect-care Land Field cat and can stay consistent during Young, Meowtchi is a satisfying and achievable goal.

How Meowtchi Compares

Meowtchi’s 70-minute hunger drain sits right at the Land Field average — neither demanding nor especially forgiving. Her 60-minute happiness drain is slightly faster than average, meaning she needs more frequent mini-games than Mametchi (80m happy) or Shigemi-san (90m happy). Within the Roar Species, she has a slower hunger drain than Ratchi (40m) but faster than Gumax (90m) and Pochitchi (80m), placing her in the middle of her species line. Across all Land Field adults, her balanced 70/60 split makes her the most evenly-matched Roar character — no extreme stats, just consistent moderate demands that suit her composed personality.

Why am I getting Pochitchi instead of Meowtchi?
The most common reason: zero mistakes but not enough meter maxes. Perfect care requires zero mistakes AND hunger maxed 5+ times AND happiness maxed 5+ times. Zero mistakes alone gives you Pochitchi, not Meowtchi. Check Cell View for rice ball and sun icons — you need five of each.

Can Meowtchi appear on other shells?
Yes — any shell with the Land Field available can produce Meowtchi, given the same perfect care requirements and Meat Young diet during Kid.

Can Meowtchi breed?
Yes. All adults in Tamagotchi Paradise can breed with any compatible adult of the opposite gender. After breeding, the egg hatches into Babymarutchi and the evolution cycle starts fresh — the baby’s adult form depends on your field, food, and care choices, not on which parents bred.

About This Character’s Field

The Land Field is the starting field on the Pink Land shell and unlocks at Level 6 on Blue Water and Level 4 on Purple Sky. Land Field characters have Meat, Carrot, Bug, and Default Pellet evolution paths. All Land Field characters have a 35% sick chance (with one exception — Elizardotchi at 30%).
