The Pink Land shell is one of the three original Tamagotchi Paradise versions. It starts you in the Land Field — the most franchise-familiar territory in the game, home to Mametchi, Mimitchi, Kuchipatchi’s best friends, and some genuinely weird additions like a cactus and a sentient bush. If you want the classic Tamagotchi feel with some modern surprises, Pink Land is your starting point.

The Land Field: What to Expect
The Land Field is a meadow populated by mammals, reptiles, plants, and one extremely dignified guinea pig. There are four Young species, each driven by a different diet:
- Roar Young (Meat diet) → leads to Meowtchi, Pochitchi, Gumax, Ratchi
- Toddle Young (Carrot diet) → leads to Mametchi, Mimitchi, Molmotchi, Sheeptchi
- Lick Young (Worm diet) → leads to Leopatchi, Sebiretchi, Elizardotchi, Heavytchi
- Sprout Young (No/mixed diet) → leads to Furawatchi, Potsunentchi, Tusushtchi, Shigemi-san
See the full Evolution Chart for which care level leads to which specific adult within each species.
Standout Land Characters Worth Knowing
Meowtchi is the brand-new Pink Land mascot — a pink cat introduced specifically for Paradise. Quick to anger but deeply lovable underneath, with a merchandise pouch designed around its head.
Mametchi is THE franchise mascot — the character that’s been on the box of every major Tamagotchi release since 1996. His birthday (November 23) matches the original Tamagotchi’s release date. Raising him requires perfect care, which makes it a satisfying goal.
Mimitchi is another franchise legend, returning as the near-perfect care Toddle adult. Her long ears are apparently a hat and nobody knows what’s inside. IQ of 200, loves math, and is a sore loser.
Molmotchi is a guinea pig. If you’re here from the guinea pig community — yes, this one’s for you. It uses male pronouns on the official site, which makes it one of only two Paradise characters to receive gendered language (the other being Gumax).
Shigemi-san is what happens when you maximally neglect the Sprout line — you get a round, armless, legless bush with an honorific in its name. Maximum neglect produces maximum dignity, apparently.
Chodracotchi: Your Exclusive Secret Character
Chodracotchi is the Pink Land exclusive secret character — and the most restricted of all four secrets to obtain.
How to get Chodracotchi:
1. Raise your Land Kid and feed it Worm-type foods only (Meal Bugs, Meal Worms, Bug Cookies) so it evolves into Lick Young
2. While it’s a Young, connect to a Blue Water shell AND a Purple Sky (or Jade Forest) shell
3. Chodracotchi will appear at the next adult evolution
Important: Chodracotchi requires Lick Young specifically. Roar, Toddle, and Sprout Young cannot become Chodracotchi under any conditions. This is the tightest restriction of any secret character in the game — you must feed Worm foods during the Kid stage.

Pink Land Starter Tips
Aim for Mametchi first. It’s the perfect care Toddle adult, it’s iconic, and successfully raising it is a rite of passage for any Paradise player. Feed Carrot-type foods (Apples, Carrots, Apple Pie, Shredded Carrots) during the Kid stage, then keep your care absolutely spotless during the Young stage.
Sprout Young is the only Land Young that can’t become Chodracotchi. If you’re planning a secret character run, avoid the default Pellet diet and make sure you’re feeding something specific.
Gumax requires exactly 2–5 care mistakes total — the FAQ community has confirmed it requires 3 total mistakes (2 Kid + 1 Young, for example) to get it reliably in the moderate neglect range. It’s a gray bear that permanently maximizes its annoyed expression even when it’s not actually angry.
The Lick Species has some of the most personality-rich characters. Sebiretchi unintentionally breathes fire when angry. Elizardotchi is obsessed with making a statement after always being left out. Heavytchi’s name is a Japanese pun combining “snake” and “heavy” — both readings work simultaneously.
What Makes Pink Land Unique
The Land Field has the highest density of franchise veterans — Mametchi, Mimitchi, Pochitchi, Sebiretchi, and Furawatchi all have decades of Tamagotchi history behind them. Raising them on Paradise feels like a reunion.
At the same time, the Land Field has some of the game’s most creative new additions. Molmotchi the guinea pig, Shigemi-san the bush with an honorific, and Tusushtchi the cactus (making its adult debut after years as a teen on the Uni) give it a character that’s distinctly Paradise.
The Pink Land shell is also the best starting point for players who want to aim for secret characters early — Chodracotchi is accessible as soon as you have your first Young, assuming you have connections to the other two shell colors.
