Very Berry Land is the free Tamaverse land, which makes it the one almost everyone loads first — and the best place to learn how land characters actually work, because a mistake costs you nothing but a generation. Six characters, six triggers, and a shop full of things that will quietly steer your evolution if you are not paying attention.
Very Berry Land Growth Chart
Unlike the base Uni roster, land characters have nothing to do with care mistakes or happiness. You get them by using a specific food or item before your Tamagotchi becomes an adult.

Note the gender split. Five of the six are female — Hotcaketchi is the only male character in this land, and the only one triggered by an item rather than food. If you hatched a male, the Frying Pan is your only Very Berry Land option.
How the Trigger System Works
- Use the item before adulthood. Once your Tamagotchi is an adult it is locked — nothing you feed it will change the result.
- Most-used wins. If you have qualified for more than one land character, the one tied to the item you used most takes priority.
- Care quality is irrelevant here. Care mistakes decide your base roster adult. They have no effect on which land character you get.
In practice: pick your target before your Tamagotchi leaves the child stage, then commit. Feeding a bit of everything is the most common reason people end up with a base-roster adult instead of the land character they wanted.
Safe Stock — What Will Not Steer Your Evolution
Six items in the Berry Mall trigger characters. The other six do not — so you can use these freely to keep hunger and happiness topped up without touching your evolution path.

Why this matters: if you are chasing Tanghulutchi with Fruit Candy, every Apple Cake you feed is a vote for Ringotchi. Feed the neutral meals between Fruit Candies and your target stays unambiguous.
What Is in Very Berry Land
- Berry Kitchen — an animation of the characters baking sweets.
- Cake Factory — the exclusive mini-game. You decorate cake slices moving along conveyor belts.
- Berry Mall — the shop, stocking food, items, accessories, furniture and two exclusive rooms (Berry Room and Creamy Room, 500G each).
Tama Pet
Leave any Very Berry Land furniture in your backyard and check outside daily — Monatototchi will eventually come to visit and stay a few days before wandering off. Very Berry furniture: Chocolate Fountain, Chocolate Cabinet, Berry Cushion, Cake TV (300G each).
How to Get It
Free. Released 21 March 2024. Claim the ticket from the Tamaverse Ticket Shop, enter the code on your Uni, then visit the Tama Portal. Remember: one land at a time, and switching away deletes any Very Berry items you have placed or equipped.
