Ten characters — the biggest roster of any Tamaverse land, four more than the standard six. Every one is a Tamagotchi restyled as a Sanrio character. It is also the least forgiving land on the Uni: only two of its twelve consumables are safe.
Sanrio Characters Growth Chart
Unlike the base Uni roster, land characters have nothing to do with care mistakes or happiness. You get them by using a specific food or item before your Tamagotchi becomes an adult.

Both male characters are item-triggered — Ribbon Box or Purin Bag. There are no male food triggers in this land at all.
How the Trigger System Works
- Use the item before adulthood. Once your Tamagotchi is an adult it is locked — nothing you feed it will change the result.
- Most-used wins. If you have qualified for more than one land character, the one tied to the item you used most takes priority.
- Care quality is irrelevant here. Care mistakes decide your base roster adult. They have no effect on which land character you get.
In practice: pick your target before your Tamagotchi leaves the child stage, then commit. Feeding a bit of everything is the most common reason people end up with a base-roster adult instead of the land character they wanted.
Safe Stock — What Will Not Steer Your Evolution
This is the trap. All four snacks and all four items trigger characters. Only two meals are neutral.

Practical advice: in Sanrio Characters, feed Wisdom Tree Salad and Strawberry Burger for routine hunger and touch nothing else unless it is your target. This is the one land where casually using the shop will almost certainly get you a character you did not plan on.
What Is in Sanrio Characters
- Entrance Hall — Sanrio characters perform and dance.
- Fluffy Ribbon House — the mini-game spot, housing Ribbon Jump: press buttons in the right order to keep your Tamagotchi bouncing on a bow-shaped trampoline.
- Kawaii Shop — ten accessories, two more than a standard land, plus Kitty Party and Everyone’s Room (500G each).
Tama Pet
Leave any Sanrio Characters furniture outside (Kitty Wagon, Kitty Sofa, Everyone’s Cushion, Everyone’s Carousel) to attract Hello Kitty Harapparatchi.
How to Get It
$7.20 USD — collaboration tickets cost more than the standard 900¥/$6. Released 13 July 2024. The land recreates the real Sanrio Puroland: a rainbow-brick approach road, a rainbow entrance arch, a gift shop and a show pavilion.
