Monster Carnival is the Uni’s Devil World land, and along with Angel Festival it is one of only two tickets that changes how your Tamagotchi evolves and dies rather than just what it can become. Six characters, all triggered by food.
Monster Carnival Growth Chart
Unlike the base Uni roster, land characters have nothing to do with care mistakes or happiness. You get them by using a specific food or item before your Tamagotchi becomes an adult.
| Character | Gender | What triggers it | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mamegon | Male | Monster Sandwich | Meal, 100G |
| Slimypatchi | Male | Slimy Jelly | Snack, 100G |
| Meduupa | Female | Snake Churros | Snack, 100G |
| Gobpyon | Female | Goblin Bun | Meal, 100G |
| Giveuptchi | Female | Eye Ball Jelly | Snack, 100G |
| Onimarutchi | Either | Ogre Rice Ball | Meal, 100G |
Onimarutchi is the flexible one — gender-neutral, so it is available whatever you hatched.
How the Trigger System Works
- Use the item before adulthood. Once your Tamagotchi is an adult it is locked — nothing you feed it will change the result.
- Most-used wins. If you have qualified for more than one land character, the one tied to the item you used most takes priority.
- Care quality is irrelevant here. Care mistakes decide your base roster adult. They have no effect on which land character you get.
In practice: pick your target before your Tamagotchi leaves the child stage, then commit. Feeding a bit of everything is the most common reason people end up with a base-roster adult instead of the land character they wanted.
Safe Stock — What Will Not Steer Your Evolution
Six of the shop’s twelve consumables trigger a character. These six do not.
| Safe to use | Type |
|---|---|
| Squid Ink Pie | Meal |
| Black Chocolate | Snack |
| Nightmare Pillow | Item |
| Clear Cape | Item |
| Monster Mirror | Item |
| Witch Broom | Item |
Feed Squid Ink Pie and Black Chocolate freely between doses of your target food. Every Slimy Jelly you feed while chasing Mamegon is a vote against him.
What Is in Monster Carnival
- Carnival Square — three animations: Pumpkin Deviltchi baking Squid Ink Pies, Girl Deviltchi and Deviltchi plotting to raid Angel Festival’s sweets, and a coffin jump-scare.
- Haunted Puzzle — the mini-game, a sliding-tile picture puzzle.
- Monster Shop — food, items, accessories, furniture and two rooms (Mischief Living, Monster Living, 500G each).
Tama Pet
Leave any Monster Carnival furniture in your backyard (Bat Guitar, Monster Object, Coffin Fridge, Witch Cauldron — 300G each). Devil Moaitchi is exclusive to this land. Monster Carnival and Angel Festival were the first tickets to introduce land-specific Tama Pets; earlier lands only attract base-device pets.
How to Get It
900¥ (about $6) from the Tamaverse Ticket Shop. Released 13 July 2024.
The Death Animation Nobody Mentions
Monster Carnival and Angel Festival are the only two lands that alter your Tamagotchi’s evolution and death sequences. Raise a Monster Carnival character and the animations change to match the Devil World theme — the counterpart to Angel Festival, where a dying Tamagotchi is carried away by four Chestnut Angels rather than the usual two.
No other land touches these sequences. If you want the full effect, these are the two tickets to own.
