Who Is Pyonchitchi?

Pyonchitchi is a small yellow character with round ears and a thick tail who first appeared on the Tamagotchi Osutchi in Japan. He is still more interested in having fun than falling in love — everyone around him keeps talking about romance, but Pyonchitchi would rather hop around and play. His name likely comes from pyonpyon, the Japanese word for hopping or skipping.

On the V4, Pyonchitchi is the healthiest of the three Universal Group males. Getting him means you didn’t push your Tamagotchi’s skill points high enough to enter a family group, but you still gave it genuinely good care.

Stats

Pyonchitchi sleeps from 10 PM to 9 AM — a generous 11-hour sleep window. His hunger and happiness meters drain at a moderate rate typical of Universal adults.

How to Get Pyonchitchi on V4

Step 1 — Keep skill points low. Avoid school and skill-building games. Your Tamagotchi’s total skill points must stay under 80 when the adult evolution triggers.

Step 2 — Give good care. Keep care mistakes to 0–2 across both physical and mental categories. Fill the hunger and happiness meters promptly when they drop.

Step 3 — Wait for evolution. Any of the four teen characters (Young Mametchi, Gourmetchi, Young Kuchipatchi, Oniontchi, or the Universal teens Obotchi/Ojyotchi/Hawainotchi/Hawaikotchi) can become Pyonchitchi under these conditions. Evolution to adult typically happens 24–48 hours after the teen stage begins.

Evolution Line

Baby: Tsubutchi → any toddler (Harutchi, Puchitchi, Mizutamatchi, or Mohitamatchi) → any teen with low care → Pyonchitchi.

Fun Facts

Pyonchitchi first appeared on the Tamagotchi Osutchi (1997) and returned for the V2 before landing on V4. On the V2 his favorite food was Peanuts; on V4 it switched to Corn Dogs. He is the male counterpart of Pyonkotchi.

Food Preferences

Pyonchitchi loves Corn Dogs — feeding him this snack will earn extra happiness hearts. Keep Cheese Cake away from him; it makes him unhappy. Stock up on Corn Dogs from the V4 shop whenever they rotate into stock.

Personality & Raising Tips

Pyonchitchi’s playful personality makes him easy to keep happy. Since you’re not farming skill points, spend more time on the default minigames (Jumping Rope, Mimic) for Gotchi Points rather than the skill games. He responds well to consistent feeding and discipline.

How Pyonchitchi Compares

Among Universal males, Pyonchitchi is the healthy one — better care than Debatchi (3 mistakes) and far better than Gozarutchi (4+ mistakes). If you want a specific family group character instead, focus on raising skill points above 80 before the teen evolves to adult.

FAQ

Can Pyonchitchi get a job? Yes — Universal adults can apply for jobs just like family group adults, as long as they have enough of the matching skill type.

Does being Universal hurt his lifespan? No — all V4 adults share the same lifespan mechanics based on care, not group.

What if I got Debatchi instead? You had 3 care mistakes. Keep mistakes under 3 next time for Pyonchitchi.
