Jade Forest was the first Paradise shell to bring a genuinely new biome. The Forest Field replaces the Sky Field entirely, bringing sixteen East Asian forest-themed adults you cannot raise on any 2025 shell — and it is the only 2025 shell whose roster also appears on the 2026 versions.

The Short Version
Three decisions, in this order:
- Field — Jade Forest starts in the Forest Field. Nothing to do here.
- Food — what you feed most during the Kid stage sets your Young species.
- Care mistakes — your cumulative total across the Kid and Young stages sets which of four adults that Young becomes.
Miss any one and you land somewhere else entirely. Paradise shows your care mistake count in the Tama Cell view, so you are never guessing.

Secret character — Tatsutchi. Forest Chirp Young only. Feed Persimmon, Pomegranate or Che Thai to get there, then connect to two different shell colours during the Young stage.
Forest characters have a 35% sickness rate after a qualifying care mistake. Note that Forest Horhotchi is a pink recolour of the Sky Field’s Horhotchi, and Kuchipatchi appears in both the Sky and Forest rosters — those two are the only characters that carry across.
Forest Field Food Chart — What Triggers Each Young
You only need one icon of the target food type in your Tama Cell, with more of that type than any other. Feed a few of what you want, get the icon, then switch to cheap default pellets to save Gotchi Points.

If no single food type dominates at the moment of evolution you get the default Young, which cannot reach the secret character. That is the one to aim for deliberately — and the one to avoid by accident.

Jade Forest has no Sky Field at all — the Forest Field replaces it. Sky Kids cannot be raised here, and Forest Kids only become Forest adults; the two lines never mix.
Care Mistakes and Perfect Care
A care mistake is logged when a meter hits zero, the attention beep sounds, and you leave it for 15 full minutes. Mistakes are cumulative from the Kid stage onward — two as a Kid plus one as a Young is three total, and three is what the game checks at the adult transition.
For a perfect-care adult you need both: zero care mistakes, and Hunger maxed at least 5 times and Happy maxed at least 5 times during the Young stage. Zero mistakes alone will not do it — this trips up more players than any other rule in the game.
The Vitamin cell: eating Cheerful Popcorn guarantees a Vitamin cell, and Random Jelly or Random Boba can grant one. A Vitamin prevents a single sickness, then disappears.
No take-backs on this shell. Once a care mistake is made it stays for that Tamagotchi’s whole life. Only the 2026 shells — White Glacier and Orange Tropics — can erase one, using the Golden Peach from a perfect Egg Hunt.
Common Ways People Get the Wrong Adult
- Fed a mix during the Kid stage. Any ambiguity defaults you to Forest Sprout Young.
- Went for Tatsutchi on the wrong line. Forest Chirp only.
- Expected Sky characters. They are not on this shell at all.
- Counted mistakes from the Young stage only. They are cumulative from Kid.
- Connected to the same colour twice. Two different colours are required.

What Else Is Exclusive to Jade Forest
- Games: Matching replaces Arrow, and Cloudy Coin Catch replaces Cleaning Dust.
- Snacks: Be Dark Green Juice and Random Boba replace Be Green Juice and Random Jelly.
- Food: all Sky Field Egg Hunt food, and the meals made from it, are replaced with Forest equivalents.
- Items: the Jade-exclusive Deco Items and Outside Toys are additional — the base ones all remain.
One limitation worth knowing: Jade Forest exclusive items cannot be gifted to Blue Water, Pink Land or Purple Sky shells.
