Chirp Young appears in two fields with completely different foods, and the Forest version is the only route to Tatsutchi, Jade Forest’s exclusive secret character.
How to Get Chirp Young
Feed the corn and fruit food type during the Kid stage. You need at least one corn and fruit icon in your Tama Cell and more of it than any other type at the moment of evolution. Feed a few, watch for the icon, then switch to default pellets to save Gotchi Points.

Note that the Sky Field’s corn type includes cherry, and the Forest Field’s pomegranate type includes persimmon — neither is obvious from the name.
What Chirp Young Becomes
Your care mistake count — cumulative across the Kid and Young stages — decides which of four adults you get. Perfect care means zero mistakes plus Hunger and Happy each maxed five times during the Young stage.

Secret Character Eligibility
Critical on Jade Forest. Tatsutchi requires Forest Chirp Young and nothing else. Feed Persimmon, Pomegranate or Che Thai during the Kid stage, then connect to two different shell colours during the Young stage. Sky Chirp also qualifies for Yayacorntchi on Purple Sky.
Timing
The Kid stage runs 24–28 hours before evolving into Young, and the Young stage about 24 hours more before the adult transition. You can see your care mistake count at any point in the Tama Cell view — the squiggly-line icon.

One Character, Both Fields
Kuchipatchi appears in both rosters — as the moderate-care adult in the Sky Chirp line and again in the Forest Chirp line. It is one of only two characters that carry across when the Forest Field replaces the Sky Field on Jade Forest, the other being Horhotchi as the pink Forest Horhotchi.
The Naming Bug
On the 2025 shells the device shows Chirp and Flap names swapped. Jade Forest has it right. The evolution paths themselves are correct — trust the food you fed, not the label.
