Rocky Young is the default for the Sky Field. Because Sky is the only field with four competing food types, Rocky is the default people land on most often — and it is the one that costs you the secret character.
How to Get Rocky Young
Feed the default (no dominant) food type during the Kid stage. You need at least one default (no dominant) icon in your Tama Cell and more of it than any other type at the moment of evolution. Feed a few, watch for the icon, then switch to default pellets to save Gotchi Points.
| Field | Food type | Foods that give it |
|---|---|---|
| Sky Field | None / mixed | Default pellets, or equal amounts of each type |
To get Rocky deliberately, feed only default pellets through the Kid stage. To avoid it, commit early to chicken, corn or honey — with four types competing, the Sky Field punishes indecision more than any other.
What Rocky Young Becomes
Your care mistake count — cumulative across the Kid and Young stages — decides which of four adults you get. Perfect care means zero mistakes plus Hunger and Happy each maxed five times during the Young stage.
| Field | Perfect care (0 + 5×) | Near-perfect (0–1) | Moderate (2–5) | Heavy neglect (6+) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sky | Gemtchi | Oretatchi | Ishikorotchi | Magmatchi |
Secret Character Eligibility
No. Yayacorntchi explicitly excludes Rocky Young on Purple Sky. If you want the secret character you need Flap, Chirp or Bumble — which means committing to a food type before the Kid stage ends.
Timing
The Kid stage runs 24–28 hours before evolving into Young, and the Young stage about 24 hours more before the adult transition. You can see your care mistake count at any point in the Tama Cell view — the squiggly-line icon.
