Flap Young is the chicken-eater, exclusive to the Sky Field. It is also caught up in the one genuine bug in Paradise: on the 2025 shells the device shows Flap and Chirp names swapped.
How to Get Flap Young
Feed the chicken food type during the Kid stage. You need at least one chicken icon in your Tama Cell and more of it than any other type at the moment of evolution. Feed a few, watch for the icon, then switch to default pellets to save Gotchi Points.

The Sky Field is the only field with four food types instead of three, which makes it the easiest field to land on the default by accident. Flap exists only here — and the Sky Field is absent from Jade Forest and both 2026 shells.
What Flap Young Becomes
Your care mistake count — cumulative across the Kid and Young stages — decides which of four adults you get. Perfect care means zero mistakes plus Hunger and Happy each maxed five times during the Young stage.

Secret Character Eligibility
Yes on Purple Sky. Flap Young qualifies for Yayacorntchi — connect to two different shell colours during the Young stage. Rocky Young does not qualify, so if you are chasing Yayacorntchi you must commit to a food type.
Timing
The Kid stage runs 24–28 hours before evolving into Young, and the Young stage about 24 hours more before the adult transition. You can see your care mistake count at any point in the Tama Cell view — the squiggly-line icon.
