How to Get Float Young in Tamagotchi Paradise — The Water Default

Float Young is the default for the Water and Ice fields. You get it by not committing to a food type, which makes it the aquatic Young people land on by accident more than any other.

How to Get Float Young

Feed the default (no dominant) food type during the Kid stage. You need at least one default (no dominant) icon in your Tama Cell and more of it than any other type at the moment of evolution. Feed a few, watch for the icon, then switch to default pellets to save Gotchi Points.

FieldFood typeFoods that give it
Water FieldNone / mixedDefault pellets, or equal amounts of each type
Ice FieldNone / mixedDefault pellets, or equal amounts of each type

To get Float deliberately, feed only default pellets through the Kid stage. To avoid it, pick seafood, seaweed or plankton early and stay on it.

What Float Young Becomes

Your care mistake count — cumulative across the Kid and Young stages — decides which of four adults you get. Perfect care means zero mistakes plus Hunger and Happy each maxed five times during the Young stage.

Secret Character Eligibility

No. Float Young cannot reach any secret character. Mermarintchi explicitly excludes it on Blue Water, and a Frozen Float Young cannot become Hobohorntchi on White Glacier. If you are chasing a secret, Float is the outcome to avoid.

Timing

The Kid stage runs 24–28 hours before evolving into Young, and the Young stage about 24 hours more before the adult transition. You can see your care mistake count at any point in the Tama Cell view — the squiggly-line icon.
