Toddle Young is the plant-eater, and the most important line in the game for one reason: on the Land Field, perfect care as a Toddle Young is how you get Mametchi, the franchise mascot. It also appears in Forest, Tropical and Ice.
How to Get Toddle Young
Feed the plant and fruit food type during the Kid stage. You need at least one plant and fruit icon in your Tama Cell and more of it than any other type at the moment of evolution. Feed a few, watch for the icon, then switch to default pellets to save Gotchi Points.

Note the Land Field’s carrot type includes apples and apple pie — a common source of accidental Toddles when you were aiming elsewhere.
What Toddle Young Becomes
Your care mistake count — cumulative across the Kid and Young stages — decides which of four adults you get. Perfect care means zero mistakes plus Hunger and Happy each maxed five times during the Young stage.

Secret Character Eligibility
Yes on most shells. Toddle qualifies for Manapatchi (Orange Tropics) and Hobohorntchi (White Glacier). It does not qualify for Chodracotchi (Pink Land, Lick only) or Tatsutchi (Jade Forest, Forest Chirp only).
Timing
The Kid stage runs 24–28 hours before evolving into Young, and the Young stage about 24 hours more before the adult transition. You can see your care mistake count at any point in the Tama Cell view — the squiggly-line icon.
