Who Is Decotchi?
Decotchi is one of V3’s more striking character designs: an explicitly Frankenstein’s Monster-inspired adult with a round green body, a large forehead (deko, in Japanese), yellow eyes, pastel yellow cheeks, and bolts sticking out from each side of its head. The stitches across the top right of its head complete the reference. Despite this horror-adjacent design, Decotchi’s personality goes in a completely different direction: it tries very hard to be “cool,” has acquired a nice pair of sunglasses toward that goal, and is working on its smile. The character is suggested to reside at Magical Land.
Decotchi debuted on V3 and is a Serious-tier even-gen adult — it requires near-perfect care and an even generation (Gen 2+). This makes it one of the harder-to-target adults in the dex, combining the strict care requirements of the Serious tier with the generation constraint of even-gen placement. Its Serious even-gen companions are Mimitchi and Chomametchi.

How to Get Decotchi on V3
Step 1 — Even generation only
Decotchi requires an even generation. Complete Gen 1 and breed your adult to access Gen 2. Serious odd-gen adults are Mametchi, Violetchi, and Pyonkotchi.
Step 2 — Near-perfect care during teen stage
Serious tier requires 0–2 total mistakes in both physical and mental care during the teen stage. Respond to hunger and happiness calls within 15 minutes consistently, and discipline when the call appears. This means checking the device regularly — roughly every 15–20 minutes during teen stage waking hours.
Step 3 — Random draw among Serious even-gen adults
With Serious care on an even generation, you’ll get one of: Decotchi, Mimitchi, or Chomametchi. Random 1-in-3 draw. All three require identical care quality.
Serious Adult Evolution Line (V3 — Even Generation)

| Mimitchi | Serious adult (same requirements) | V3 series mascot; franchise veteran; ice cream / hamburger |
| Chomametchi | Serious adult (same requirements) | Mametchi’s little sister; franchise presence across many devices |
Food Preferences
| Category | Details |

Fun Facts
The Frankenstein design is remarkably specific for a Tamagotchi character — the bolts, stitches, green coloring, and large forehead are all direct references to the classic movie monster, yet the character’s lore is entirely about fashion aspiration and coolness. The disconnect between appearance and personality is deliberate, and it’s one of the more memorable character concept gaps in the V3 roster.
Decotchi makes a cameo in the Tamagotchi Meets Magical Version game — it can be seen when visiting Magical Land, consistent with the “suggested to reside at Magical Land” detail in its profile. This small cross-appearance is one of the only times Decotchi shows up outside V3.
Who Should Raise Decotchi?
Decotchi is for players who want the most visually distinctive of the three Serious even-gen adults. Mimitchi is the franchise mascot option; Chomametchi has the most cross-release presence; Decotchi is the unique design pick. The Frankenstein concept is genuinely unusual for the franchise, making it a satisfying dex entry for players who collect for character variety.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Decotchi in the 2024 Connection rerelease?
Yes, as a Serious even-gen adult with the same requirements as V3.
Why does a monster-designed character require perfect care?
Care tier reflects the device’s tracking of your behavior, not the character’s personality or design. Serious adults come from near-perfect care regardless of what they look like. Decotchi’s Frankenstein aesthetic is character design, not care-tier commentary.
