What Is It?
Genjintchi no Tamagotch released in Japan in November 1997. Inspired by a film about Peking Man, it swaps the usual pet for a caveman-style prehistoric character. It shares its underlying programming with the Mothra Tamagotchi released a month later.
Key Features
- Prehistoric theme with caveman characters.
- Classic feed-clean-play care with a stone-age twist.
- One of the more obscure 1997 spin-offs.
Is It Worth Getting Today?
A deep-cut collector piece. Genjintchi is niche even among vintage fans, which makes a working Japan-only unit a genuine rarity for completionists.
