What Is It?
The TamaTown Tama-Go is an international device released in August 2010, blending ideas from the Music Star, Plus Color, and iD. Its signature gimmick is the Gotchi Figure — a collectible toy figure that mounts on top of the device and unlocks new games, food, and items. It was the first internationally released Tamagotchi to feature iD characters, most notably Lovelitchi, who became a franchise mascot.
Key Features
- Gotchi Figures — each adds two games plus a shop or restaurant and nine items; a single-game Lite Figure came in the box.
- Day and night cycle and a 3D background effect.
- TamaTown integration with up to three Tamagotchi logins.
Is It Worth Getting Today?
A fun, accessible Western device. The Tama-Go is an affordable English-language way to meet the iD-era characters, and the figures are charming collectibles — though loose figures can get pricey. A solid pick for casual play and collectors alike.
